Fingering

Fingering is about how to grab chords. Below is an example of a commonly used chart for guitar chords. Numbers indicate fingers and position indicate positions on the fretboard.

• T = thumb
• 1 = index finger
• 2 = middle finger
• 3 = ring finger
• 4 = pinkie

• above the chord name is given
• black dots indicate fret position on neck
• numbers indicate fingers (but they are often omitted)
